Where did you get the # for the trutrac. I am looking into getting everything together for my own swap. I started the research but time is limited right now.

DTS Drivetrain can get it for you. It's not listed on Detroit Lockers website but if you go on the DTS site and type in the part # you'll find it. I ordered mine today. I called them and at first they didn't know what I was talking about but when I gave them the part # they found it. It's not in stock but they seem to think they can get it in a few days so I ordered it. At $474.00, it's a hell of a deal over my other alternative.

BTW: IF you call DTS (586 778 0540) ask for Claude or Sandy. They're very helpful people and even called back within an hour to confirm my order and shipping details.

Thanks again Hawaiian

I ordered one through my local 4x4 shop. When my rear end went out, the Master Mechanic there suggested maybe a locker or LSD to bypass the original broken Open Diff. I called after posting it on Titantalk.com since there were alot of inquiries to get the part number from the shop. He was cool enough to give it to me, after I assured him everyone who wanted one was off island lol.

This is alot better price than loosing 4 to 6 thousnad on traiding the truck in on something else. Mine already has the symptoms coming back. I think it has already started eating itself again. I'll order carrier very soon. Thank you guys for the #'s. I feel better knowing that someone else is as fed up with this crap also.

I'm hoping to get mine this week and I'll let you all know how the install goes. I'm an old hand at installing rearend gears/carriers and I have the tools so I'll do it myself. I'm always a little wary about buying aftermarket dif. carriers for a factory dif. housing because sometimes you have to do some  shimming to get the right amount of backlash. I don't have a shim kit for my Nissan so I might have to find out whether a shim/install kit for the regular Dana 44 can work. Sometimes if the part is of good quality it's very close out of the box. I'm hoping that since this is NIssan Titan specific that Detroit Locker will build it to duplicate factory specs so I won't have any trouble with that. AND I sure hope I don't see no stinking rollpin in the carrier! I'll keep you all posted.

Funny how resourceful we "island boys" can be eh, Hawaiian?

I have mainly heard of electronically locking differentials. I think this is only in the 4x4 models. I do not know about the regular limited slip differentials.

I don't believe the 2WD Differentials are limited slip

Isn't the "limited slip" function in the Titans provided by brake application of a slipping wheel (ABLS)?

I have only heard of the E-Lock Differentials in the 4WDs having problems.

I am pretty sure that there is a limited slip option even on 2WD.
