I have a friend that has a chevy tahoe that was doing the same thing after he stopped and then started going again. It turned out that his driveshaft yoke was not sliding in and out on the transmission splines like it was supposed to due to lack of lubrication. So instead of moving in and out smoothly it would catch and when it finally would move it would make a thud or popping sound. This always occured during acceleration, never during braking. We pulled the drive shaft loose and applied some special chevy grease to the inside of the yoke and presto, no more noise.
I don't know if the Titan is prone to this but it's worth checking into.We had to ask a retired chevy tech about the tahoe and he knew exactly what to do, so it must be a common problem with chevy.
