The "service engine soon" light had been on in my truck for 4 days.  The service dept told me it was my gas cap.  Well, I'm no idiot.  That was the 1st thing I checked.  Took it in this morning and it turns out I have a leaky valve "leaking at seal".   Parts are on special order.

Man, I have had it with this truck.  33k miles and I need engine work??  WTF?

I'm faxing over all my stuff to the BBB today.

Hendo my good man...

It can't be said too often that not all dealers are good and not all dealers can fix cars well.  It sounds like either you may have had an unlucky day at a good service shop or just another day at a bad service shop.

Get them to fix again what they botched and then consider carefully whether or not you want to go back to that dealer.  Ask the service manager there what happened and look him in the eye as he replies...then decide.  Next step, ask for recommendations on the board for skilled dealerships in your area.  I'd help you myself if you was in Arizona...looks like you in TX?

Don't expect a ton of help from the BBB on that issue.
