I have a 2006 with shifter in the center console.  Can anyone tell me how to remove the shifter knob so i can take out the console?

Yep Righty Tighty, Lefty Loosey. I does take a little umph to get it loose but it does unscrew.

Came loose while drivin?...Meow you just might have too tight a grip on that shifter....lol

Yeah, I don't really remember what I was doing, but it was kind of a stressfull moment, and then, meow, it was loosened.
